GERALDTON:
DAY OUT IN THE CAR
Lou was at home for a study day so she offered up her car so we could get out and about. We went to a lavender farm first which was really pretty and peaceful, then stopped off at a viewpoint. Mrs F had already had a go at driving the 4x4 beast home form the beach earlier on in the week and so was the designated driver for the day :-)
Down at the lavender farm.....
Stop by the viewpoint and a a Mummy catapillar with a baby one following.....
After the viewpoint, we headed to Drummonds beach with some scooby snacks and copped a squat and enjoyed the sunshine. After that, we headed into town to The Dome coffee shop to have a rather large hot chocolate before heading back to the house. All in all, a good day to be out and about exploring :-)
The cold is too much for Mrs F and Lou!!
GERALDTON:
SATURDAY, SURF DAY.
Although Mrs F tried to hide her loaned wet suit, Ben found it and brought it along to the beach. But Mrs F managed to get out of going into the water and stood by ready with her camera waiting to take some action shots of Ben and Lou. After surfing, we went to Bentwood Olive Grove to have cofffee's and a tasting platter of olive oil, bread, toasted bread, olives and pickles. Then we drove to a nearby beach and had a little stroll where we saw dolphins swimming near the shore! :-)
Ben and Lou about to hit the waves...
Mr F enjoying a foot long chicken roll for breakfast...
Mrs F took a couple of picture of what she thought as Ben....but it was someone else fom Christian Surfers.

This is apparently Gero parking!
Friends of Ben and Lou from Exmouth, Josh and Donna and their three boys, were also coming to spend the weekend with us before heading off to Bali. Saturday night, we got an Indian takeaway and had a good evening chatting and chilling out.
SUNDAY:
In the morning, Mrs F made pancakes for breakfast before we all went to church. The serman again was a very strong message and very good to listen to. After church we all went to The Dome for lunch. Mrs F had the Ozzy version of scones, which was basically sweet bread rolls with squirty cream and mixed berry jam....not good! After that, we went to a petshop on the way back to Ben and Lou's. There were puppies that just wanted to chew everything, including your hand and a big parrot cage that you could go into to. Mrs F was the first to volunteer going in the parrot cage. She was instantly the attraction of the parrakeets playing and nesting in her hair, with a much bigger parrot on her arm refusing to get of again and another little arrot chewing at her shoelaces!
That afternoon we had a BBQ and then played a Bible Trivial game. Much like Trivial Pursuit, it was girls vs boys and we had to collect all of the coloured tokens by answering questions about the Bible. Unfortunately the boys won but was a good game.
