LAST DAY IN EXMOUTH & AUSTRALIA
Today was our last day in Australia :-( We had finally collected all our coral letters to make some words and take with us and collected some shells that we found on the beaches over our time here in Exmouth. So today we decided to go to some different places and take some last pics - we went over to the west side to a beach that had lots of rocks which the waves were crashing into. Then we stopped off at a little viewpoint just by the lighthouse and saw our first Whales!! Mrs F spotted some water shooting out of the water and realised it was a couple of Whales and there was a man with us who kindly loaned us his binoculars so we could have a good look....Whales seen....check!! :-)
Our words that we made from coral....

Our spot where we saw the Whales but they were just out of range to get a good pic...
The waves were awesomely big and were a few people out surfing...

On the way back, we stopped to look at a rather large termite mound....one of many

During our stay in Exmouth, we discovered that termite mounds weren't the only over sized things around......

We came home and Julia had made us a delicious roast beef and casserole dinner....a great way to end a great day :-)
VERDICT OF AUSTALIA
Mr F: Loved it, loved it, loved it. Perth was good to visit but the highlights for me were spending time with family in "Gero" and Exmouth. Time spent in both were truly fantastic and so many memories that will stay with me forever .It's not close and its not cheap but I firmly belive that everyone should visit Australia. I had the chance of sponsorship whilst in Geraldton but at the time was not brave enough to commit to it. Since returning to the UK I keep thinking about that opportunity and I am currently pursuing the chances of returning to Oz.....
Mrs F: I have two words....'Amazing Country' It was good to see Perth although to me, no city will ever beat my home city of London, it was still good to visit and enjoyed taking the local free bus around town. The bus journey from Perth to Geraldton was our first proper views of typical flat land Australian outback and really enjoyed it.
To spend time with Ben & Lou in Geraldton was very special, being apart of the things that they like to do and share the new experiences with them was awesome. I really enjoyed being apart of their church and great fellowship if only for a while. Then the road trip to Exmouth stopping at Kalbarri was really enjoyable, even though it was just one straight road with nothing but vast flat land either side of it, it was still amazing to see in the flesh and really appreciate this wonderful land.
The time spent in Exmouth was special for us. Meeting our Sister in-law, Julia for the first time and getting to know her was really wonderful. I loved being apart of their strong Christian life which helped me to grow in my own faith. Besides the relationship we built with both Sam & Julia while in Exmouth, Exmouth as a place was truly amazing! I never knew that you could have so many varieties of beaches in one place that offer a different experience. The way of life is just wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent in Exmouth.
All in all, a truly amazing country and the time we spent there will have so many life long memories. Although we prayerfully made the decision to go back to London, we also prayerfully plan to return to Australia long term. Who knows what God has instore for us next?? :-)
