HOI AN
DAY 3:

We decided to have a chilled out day, updating the blog and took a short walk around the old town which is very different during the day. Hoi An is famous for it's tailor shops with tailors every second shop or even whole streets of them! Alot of travelers get dresses or suits made here. We had lunch at Cafe 96 by the river which looked dodgy due to the water damage from the flooding, but was ok. Later in the evening we walked to Dingo Deli where Mr F had the greek salad and skewers again and Mrs F had a lasange, rated 7 out of 10......and then finished off Mr F's salad!!

This lady dropped her load and Mr F went to help her pick it up, but she shouted at him "NO!".....twice!

HOI AN to HUE

We were picked up by a mini bus and taken to a coach to be taken to Hue. We were hoping to go over the mountain to the Hoi Van pass but we went through a tunnel instead :-( You can tour to the pass but its 40miles from Hue and would be by 'Easy Rider', which is a way to get around on the back of a tour guides bike....which Mrs F didn't fancy.

Views en route....

VERDICT OF HOI AN:
Mr F: Cut place although you do get fed up with the rickshaw and motor taxi guys. Handy if you want a cheap suit! A good place for a couple of days.

Mrs F: I liked the town at night with the lanterns by the river and the french feel about the place. The ladies at the hotel were all really friendly and loved Dingo Deli's chicken skewer greek salad!
