NHA TRANG
DAY 1:

As per usual routine when we get to a new place, our first day we spent walking around exploring the city and its points if interest. By this time we had become pro's when crossing the manic roads with our shuffle (see our HCMC day 1 blog) Our first stop was Ave Maria Cathedral which was beautiful inside and out. For both of us, being inside a church gives an overwhelming feeling of Gods presence.

From there we walked to Long Son Pagoda, The Sleeping Buddha and The Seated Buddha. We didn't spend any time here at all due to being constantly bombarded by locals asking us to buy incense sticks to light for Buddha and suggest that we also pray to the statue. Being that we are Christians, we didn't do either but also hate being hassled so we took some pictures and quickly left.

We found that 99% of Europeans don't venture past the beach by day or bars by night, so were the only two venturing white folk that we could see. We must also look like a famous couple as a few asian tourists blatantly stood infront of us and took our photo and not for the first time since we've been in Nam!
On the way back to the beach, Mr F made a spontaneous stop to have his hair cut on the side of the road for 1 pound 25p! You can also have your ears cleaned which looks like a full blown operation....but cotton buds work fine for us!

We headed back to the Louisiana Brew House where we had beers, burgers, played pool and Mrs F had a beach side pedicure for 1pound 40p :-)

That night we walked back to bar to watch a blues/rock band play and have fruit cocktails.
