EXMOUTH
We met up with Sam & Julia at the local IGA (supermarket) and they led us back to their place. It was really good to finally meet Julia and she is the loveliest. That night, we went for a walk with their 8 month old dog Diesel along the beach which was lit up by a beautiful full moon...which Mrs F didn't get a picture of because she left the camera back a the house :-(
DAY 1:
Sam kindly let us use the car to also get around Exmouth....not that it would take very long as Exmouth is a little town situated on a peninsula. We drove to see the lighthouse first and come across our first wild Emu's just crossing the road! After the light house we went to see the Turtle beach. It's not the right time of year for Turtles to come onto the beach to lay eggs but you could still see where the eggs where laid in the big holes in the dunes. Then we drove to another beach where their is a shipwreck. On the way back we saw a couple of Kangaroo's, so we turned around in the car to get a picture but there was someone behind us so we couldn't stop and by the time we had turned around again, they had gone :-( A good day exploring Exmouth....
Mrs F trying out some new photography.....
The beach where the Turtles come to lay their eggs....
The shipwreck just offshore....
Mrs F really getting into her photography now :-)
DAY 2:
We headed down to one of the beaches to try and look for coral that had been washed up and naturally shaped into letters for us to make words out of. It was once again a beautiful day and a good stroll along the beach. When we got back, the four of us were chilling out in the garden and had a visit from Sam's boss and friend, Trevor. He casually mentioned that he was off to ride his horse along the beach as he does every afternoon.....Mrs F's face lit up and casually mentioned that she loves horses! So after that subtle hint, we all went off down to the shire that is right by the dunes to meet his horse, 'Ringo'....and had a little ride on him along the shore! :-)

Horse back riding was one of the things on Mrs F's To Do list whilst travelling and what better way than to do it on the beach...amazing!Mr F has only ever riden a horse twice in his life and both times he got thrown off, so chose not to give it a 'third time lucky' go!
That night, we all went back to the beach to watch the full moon come up over the gulf and it was spectacular....
A few sunset pics before the moon came up....

It was such an awesome evening to watch a stunning sunset followed by an evenly stunning moonrise. Makes you think how God is just the greatest artist of them all....
More stunning pics! If someone asked who was the jumping shadows, Id definitely say you two! So funny. Muv xx
