GERALDTON TO KALBARRI
Since we now had the car, we were advised to stop and see Kalbarri and a few other places along the way to Exmouth. We left quite early since Kalbarri is 100 miles from Geraldton and headed onto the only highway on the west coast, which is basically just one straight road with miles of flat beautiful land either side of it that we didn't get bored to look at....

Our quick stop to check to map and take a few pics just outside of Kalbarri....
We parked up and walked down to 'Mushroom Rock'. It looked like we were walking through a mini Grand Canyon, it was stunning....

We found ourselves a hostel to stay in for the night so we done our usual and bought all things needed for a spag bowl...cheap and filling! We took a little stroll around the little town and drove to a few places. As we were further up north, the weather was noticeably hotter than in Geraldton. We really liked Kalbarri, it's a really pretty place and glad we got to see it. We decided to take a stroll down to the little lakes to see the sun go down. The hostel owner had a little dog called Preston who decided to come with us :-)
The sunset was amazing and Mrs f done her David Bailey bit once again....

KALBARRI TO EXMOUTH
We decided to head straight to Exmouth as the car was making some rattling noises and didn't want to get stuck out on the highway with no signal. We left Kalbarri quite early but not so early that we were at risk of hitting any Roo's, but we got to see the sun come up over the horizon of the land which was lovely....
Our view again for the next 490 miles from Kalbarri to Exmouth....
We saw lots and lots of Termite mounds along the way....
We saw so many dead Kangaroos along the way that had been hit traffic that we played a game who could guess how many dead Roo's we would see before we got to Exmouth. Yes, a very cruel game we know but since the scenery was the same for miles to play a decent game of eye spy and no radio signal, we were limited how to entertain ourselves!
By the time we got to Exmouth we saw:
110 Dead Kangaroos
3 Dead Eagles
2 Dead Sheep
2 Dead Large Cows
1 Destroyed 4x4 as a result from hitting a large cow
Some fantastic shots! Would love to get the one of the rocks with the waves splashing up printed as a picture. Love the one of you both sitting on the rock and of course ya titanic pose :) Muv xx
